A REVIEW ON IMAGE RESTORATION TECHNIQUES

Image restoration is a process to improve the quality of image via estimating the amount of noises and blur involved in the image. The concept of restoration image that has been degraded using apriori knowledge of degradation phenome-non, in which most of part is an objective process. Image degradation may be occurred due to motion blur, blur due to camera mis-focus, atmospheric turbulence etc. Atmospheric turbulence blur depends on a variety of factors like tempera-ture, wind speed and long-exposure time. Image deblurring process is used to deconvolute degraded image with point spread function (PSF) that exactly describe the distortion of the image. A COMPARATIVE STUDY ON IMAGE DENOISING WITH ITS CLASSIFICATION AND APPLICATIONS

Image denoising forms the pre-processing step in the field of photography, research, technology and medical science, where a somehow image has been degraded and needs to be restored before further processing. Image denoising is still a challenging problem for researchers as image denoising causes blurring and introduces artifacts. Different types of images inherit different types of noise and different noise models are used to presenting different noise types. Denoising method tends to be problem specific and depends upon the type of image and noise model. Image restoration is the process of restoring the degraded or corrupted image back to its original form. Noise is added in the image while sending an image from one place to another via satellites, wireless, or during image acquisition process. CALCULATION OF ECONOMIC LOAD DISPATCH WITH CONSTRAINTS USING NEW PSO

Economic load dispatch (ELD) is a process to allocate the demand on the available generating unit at that time in such a way to satisfied the demand and not violate the constraints. The load demand is fulfill by the generating units operated in such that take minimum generation cost. Due to presence of constraints ELD problem is nonlinear in nature. So for calculation of such nonlinear problem needs optimization techniques which give the global solution of such problem. PSO is optimization techniques inspired by sociological behavior of bird flocking. It can be applied to solve many nonlinear engineering problems. This paper used a new PSO to solve the ELD problem. This paper consider EDL problem with various constraints. SHUNT ACTIVE POWER FILTER CONTROLLED FOR MITIGATION OF HARMONICS

When using non linear loads, affects the quality of supply power ,which leads to a number of issues like harmonics, voltage sag, voltage swell, flicker, voltage imbalance etc. these issues affects the performance and the lifetime of the utilities. In order to overcome issues arises due to nonlinear loads power filters were developed. This work proposed a active filter which is controlled by PI controller and Fuzzy logic controller to reduce the THD (total harmonic distortion). Here we compared the results of active filter results, without controller and with PI and Fuzzy controller. Results show that performance of fuzzy controller is better than PI controller....

INTERFERENCE CANCELLATION IN MULTIPLE INPUT MULTIPLE OUTPUT COGNITIVE RADIO NETWORKS

Spectrum is becoming a valuable resource and its usage is highly increasing demand nowadays. In order to efficiently utilize the spectrum,, cognitive radio (CR) technology was introduced. Spectrum efficiency can be further improved by MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple ) CRN( Cognitive Radio Network) systems. Primary and secondary users are present in CR systems. Single and multiple antennas are equipped with the primary and secondary users respectively. Here interference is the major concern when the primary and secondary users are transmitting simultaneously. To overcome the interference among the users, successive interference cancellation (SIC) method was suggested and evaluated, which is done with MATLAB software and the performance of the system is analyzed....

ANALYSIS OF TOTAL HARMONICS DISTORTION USING MULTIPULSE CONVERTER

The work presents a deep effort towards analyzing line commutated controlled multi-pulse converters for solving the harmonic problem. The effect of increasing the number of pulses on the performance of AC to DC converters has been analyzed. For performance comparison the major factors considered are the ripple percentage, form factor and the total harmonic distortion (THD). The effects of load variation on multi-pulse AC to DC converters have also been investigated. This work presented 6, 12, 24 and 36 pulse converters....

FILE MONITORING ON CLOUD USING SECURE TECHNIQUE

Now a day’s providing security to the files stored on cloud and to cloud resources is a recent area of research in computer science. Cloud resources include mainly two types of files, system specific files and user specific files. Tampering with the content of these files can lead to compromise in the security of Cloud. The designed tool “Secure file monitoring on cloud” helps in maintaining the integrity of the system specific files by recalculating the hash and stores the hash value within the file hence, reducing the cost of the tool. This tool is platform independent as it does not require external database to store the hash values. The tool has a file integrity monitoring module which is periodic in nature and an alert generation module which alerts the admin whenever a file is modified by unauthorized user. Alerts can be in the form of email or SMS to the admin. The main focus of the tool is to store the hash values in the file itself to avoid the need of external database for storing hash....
